Description I have perfected the art of falling in love with strangers on the bus
It's quiet, simple
I don't have to talk to them
I don't have to fuss over how I look
Wonder if I sound awkward
If my issues are really that visible
What kind of message I'm sending
If I'm coming on too strong
Or worry if they're only in it for sex
I can watch the fluid movements of their exhalations
See the shadows their lashes throw on their cheeks
Happen upon a freckle on their arm
Or be caught by the sunlight in their hair
It's simple enough, and I know I won't see them again
This way I'm almost falling in love with the whole human race
One by one

There is a quiet beauty to this piece that makes me just want to hug you for posting it. As a more often than not disgruntled commuter, this piece brings an odd sort of enlightenment to the dreaded public system. Cheers!

Thank youuuu
I always liked the calm impersonality of public transport... Being able to zone out to my music and just watch the world go by
