I have a theory about how the goblin king became the goblin king. Look at him- he's not quite goblin, but he's not quite elf either. Granted he's Fae, but sort? My theory is that he is a mixed race of elf and goblin. This new race was obviously smarter than the goblins, so they eventually became their rulers.
