"As entities go, the Lord of Silence is by far the strangest. No one truly understands when his worship began and his existence is often questioned by scholars and religious folk alike. Hard to trust a creature that hands power so freely, though he is fairly selective of his servants, the Whisperers. People believe he ascended into the Veil, a very reasonable belief if you ask me, so he was a human once. He is often depicted blindfolded, which I find very amusing, given he is the Lord of Silence and not the Lord of Sight, but what do I know, right? Truth is, he terrifies me, though he saved my life. Can you even fathom what an ascension to godhood would take? I can't, but at the very least, it would take everything one has ever had. You'd have to lose a part of you in the process. The Veil is not meant for mortals. It isn't meant for anyone, really."
