Noticed that I drew this a while ago but didn't post it and it's sort of relevant now so derp.
Yes, OS has a monarchy and Maugel is their current king. He is also one of the strongest monsters in their history even though he doesn't look like it. I actually came up with this guy in a weird dream where I was stuck in OS and I wanted to make a comic about it but I forgot to finish it and ffffff :3

Because I'm such a clichee machine his ability is to control shadows. In my comics when one's shadow is magically removed, it turns into liquid. He can pretty much take people's shadows, control them like puppets and switch them between people for hilarious results. This is not why he's considered the most fearful monster in all of OS though... And why tell when I can draw so you'll see more of him in comics in the future. >:3

He's a really nice guy too, probably the only one who is genuinely kind towards humans. If you're in OS and pretty much fucked up, your best chance is to demand an audience with the king. They can't refuse from that and the king will make sure you get everything that fits your human needs during your stay. Most of the citizens don't approve his way of dealing with humans because of all the predujice, but very few actually question him since he's so fucking good at his job.
