I know that you are aGarden, hidden behind
the wrought-iron fences
you erected long ago for
safety, but a garden
all the same.
And I know that you
have fertile soil that
may have lain dormant
for some time, but that
can still yield fruit, if
only given the right attention.
If only you let it.
So I will be the faithful
farmer, planting
my seeds. And I will still try
to find the right mixture of
water and sunlight, until
one day, when I am exhausted
and feel like i have
no more resources to give,
I will watch in awe as
two wings blossom in
the space between your
shoulder blades,
watch them gently
unfold like two
giant Easter lilies.
I believe this will happen.
I believeβ¦
Because we all need things
To believe in.
And Iβve chosen to believe in you.

I read and in each line wandered to the vision and then you said,
"I will watch in awe as
