Background: Lelali was the only child born to General Irih and his wife. Her father was a very close friend and trusted ally of Zuko's father so she spent a lot of time at the palace with him and his sister. The same year Zuko's mother disappeared her mother passed. After that she fell apart, she didn't speak out or talk to anyone unless she was spoken to. Two year's later, her father brought her to the same war council meeting that Zuko spoke out to. For it was her father's idea that Zuko spoke out about. She witnessed Zuko beg and get burned my his own father. Before his screams stopped she ran from the room. Lelali was found later by General Iroh in the gardens. Iroh then found her father and returned her to her father. By the next morning her father told her that Zuko has been banished. A year later she leaves the Fire Nation to go search for a purpose. In mid-spring she went to Ba Sing Se because she was wanted from the Fire Nation labeled as a traitor. As she was walking around in the lower ring she caught the flyer that Aang made for Appa. She went to the address that was on the poster and met up with them and helped them find Appa. When they got Appa back and flew away and landed they asked her who she really was. Since she didn't want them to find out that she was wanted my the Fire Nation she told them that her name is Katari and that the Fire Nation wiped her family out in a raid. She stayed with Katara in Ba Sing Se when everyone separated. When Aang, Sokka and Toph came back in search for Katara she was looking around in the palace when she was captured by the Dai Li and but into the same prison as Zuko and Katara. As Zuko was fighting with Aang, Lelali intervened but without bending because Team Avatar did not know she was a fire bender. She fought Zuko with her katana and fighting skills. She was captured with Iroh when Katara and Aang where out of there. Since her father was a close friend of Ozai's he reasoned with Ozai, claiming that her actions were based off of the grief of her mother. Ozai complied with her father's plea, with a condition, that she is to have a guard with her at all times. The day of the eclipse she used her fighting and swordsmanship skills to escape from the bunker. She ran into Zuko along the way and as they ran he explained what he was going to do. She agreed to help them and went on the journey to the Western Air Temple. She revealed to Team Avatar who she really was and they all seemed mad at first then came to agree with it just as they did with Zuko. The day of the comet she fought with the White Lotus to defeat the Fire Nation troops that were invading. After the war she fell in love with one of the Northern Water Tribe soldiers who saved her live during the comet.
