The Poppets are based off of the Kwamis, namely Tikki; still trying to help even as familiars. To keep with the doll and sewing themes, I made them burlap dolls/pin cushions, the name coming from what some cultures call voodoo dolls.
Louis and Louisette are stand-ins for the people around Marinette, who gazed at her in admiration as Ladybug, as well as the people Marinette would feel judged by during her anxiety rants; hence the giant eyes. To keep with the doll/broken theme, they are a mismatch of different doll parts, with the bodies being mannequins. And the names are a reference to the Witch's name, as the guillotine was also referred to as the "louisette".
