Oh, this story sounds cool! I only know a little about the MCU from watching the movies and Agents of SHIELD with my mom, but I think this concept sounds like it would fit right in. I'd love to see the young avengers.

MCU is a good place to start because it isn't as confusing as the comics can be. Especially right now with Marvel's big crossover events going on to merge their multiverse into one universe (for the comics). There is a Young Avengers comic too, though it seems to be a fairly short series at the moment. The official Young Avengers team is made up of: Iron-Lad, who was from the 30th century and later returns to his time, but his armor becomes a teenaged version of The Vision. Hulkling, who is one of two gay characters in the comics and is actually an alien Prince, half Kree and half Skrull. He is a shapeshifter and is dating Wiccan (originally called Asgardian). Wiccan is one of a pair of twins, and is the son of The Scarlet Witch and The Vision. His power is almost identical to his mothers. His twin is Speed, who has powers like Quicksilver. He eventually leaves the Young Avengers though, and is the "troubled teen" of the group. Then there is Patriot, the grandson of the real first Captain America, who was a black man who was given the serum before Steve Rogers to ensure the serum wouldn't kill their white test subject. Then there is Hawkeye, a rich girl with serious skills with a bow. She ends up impressing the real Hawkeye so much he gives her one of his bows. Stature is another female character, and the daughter of Ant Man. She falls in love with the teenaged version of the Vision, though that love is kind of doomed once he returns to "adulthood." Then there are some newer characters who came in after a couple of the original characters left. The newer ones were: Kid Loki, who is literally the de-aged version of Loki, and far less evil. Though no less prone to complex plans and pranks. Then there is Miss America who is from an alternate reality. She takes Patriots place on the team and seems to be the new Captain America wanna-be. Then there is Marvel-Boy who is a teenaged Kree. He comes in at some point (I missed when) and seems to be dating Hawkeye? The last character is actually originally from the X-Men comics. He is a mutant codenamed Prodigy because he could originally borrow people's memories and skills. After M-Day he lost his powers but retained all the memories and knowledge he had temporarily copied from other people.
Whew....That is a lot of info. Of course in my universe the Young Avengers would be a bit different from this cast. I haven't planned it all out yet though.
