AH YES!!^_^My dear Hououji!!^_^...I won the MAG-DX for February...so now me gets to feature me own charac!!...and GEE!! guess who that is!!^_^
So yea...this piece is the featured pic there for my chara!^^
More experimenting in Photoshop for this!!...and thanks LOTS to Lynnwood [link] for helping me with suggestions!!^^..aaaaaaahhhhhh...so that's what the dodge tool is used for!!O_O D'OH!!....so much to learn!!O_O;;;

Very very cool character design. I really really love this. The pose, and the expression on his face, and that eye are all really wonderful, and so is the clothing design. Great job with the wing, too.
The only thing that's bugging me a smidge is your light source - is the wing actually made out of fire? If it is, it'd be seriously backlighting him, with a yellowish-orange tinge.. I think it'd look nice to add some of that color up into that white ruffle on his coat, and up into his hair, and probably on the edges of his fingers where they'd catch the light, etc.
Other than that little nitpick, though, awesome work.

The colouring on this is perfectly gorgeous. The detail in the hair, feathers and wing is marvelous, though if I may say so, it looks like you payed less attention to the front section of hair.
Still, quite a lovely picture, and I worship you for it. n.n (those fingers are nice, and the clothes rock as well... >})
