HUZZAH!!So it's been quite a bit of time since I last submitted anything to DA...haven't really been working on anything worthwhile submitting though XP...been busy with the Seekers manga series, drawing bears in the wilderness for hours on end O_O;;;
ANYways! Here be my entry to 's RE: Play Fanart Contest! Been a while since I've done any toned work, hard to believe...but I think it turned out rather well, keeping things uber simple so as not to detract from the lineart ^_^;;;

Um, like I said in my post, none of my friends were in the running to place. Bettina and I are good friends (and also a professional and coworker at the same publisher) so how could I judge her against strangers and call that fair? She's still in the book, thats why my friends weren't judged, because they were doing them as gifts.

no no no no, i think you misunderstood me. i don't know your relation to any of the contestants. i just mean that this was my favorite entry, and my friends and i had thought for sure it would get first place.

Well..I did this piece more as a gift/reg fanart than an actual entry 
That...and Christy is a fellow TP creator and good friend, so yea...didn't bother me a bit that I didn't place, and again, didn't really do it as a contest entry, just a gift from a friend to a friend ^_^<3

Ha ha ha you know what I'd do? If I got super board during pencils I know damn well all my bears would end up with Care Bear symbols on their tummies, especially if it was a super!dramatic scene. I wouldn't ink them, but damn if I wouldn't draw them.

Dude YEAH! I saw the new Care Bears cartoon when I was eating breakfast the other day I was like "OOh! CARE BEARS! NOSTALGIA TIME!" but then when I turned it on it was SO not what I was expecting. I hate that they've brought back all the toys from the 80s but f'd up their image and cartoon like crazy.

Seriously! am getting sick of the 80s revival thing Xp...don't mind that they made Transformers a live action flick...but the cartoon remake SUCKS! >,< Same with pretty much all the other 80s cartoons they revived and redid XP UGH! DO NOT WANT! Xp
Funny thing is, the teens these days that would be into this shit are too young to even remember the 80s, let alone having not even been born in the 80s, so I've NO idea how they could possibly find the enjoyment out of the 80s explosion that WE grew up with! XP...anything for money and Hot Top sales I guess! Xp
