The method seen here didn't really work all that well so the boots were remade for otakon 2009. It was a lot of foam and hot glue and alot of trial and error.
The foam used is that thick stuff that you put down on the floor in gyms for grade schoolers. Puzzle piece foam padding.

ah! I saw you! sorry about that. ^^' I had somewhere I needed to be so I took the liger off so I wasn't swamped every two feet. I learned my lesson last year.

It looks very nice!! And it doesn't look uncomfortable...well, except for the feet part X3 Probably took awhile to get used to walking with the feet claws

Those boots gave me charlie horses in my legs for a solid week after otakon! -dies- so Fehfeh made me a new pair for this year^^

this is really awesome but I hope you realize liger's nosebridge is not curved down but curved up o.o; you might wanna fix that if you can, he has a dino nose in this pic xD no offense. over all very nice, btw, my new account = ~Ekuhikaarme

I know I know. But this was the first time ever making something like this. And unless I could make use of negative and positive molds and scuplting which costs hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, its not going to be perfect.
The nose looks like that because of the wire mesh used for part of the face plate and the foam underneith warps and bends as it ages.
Trust me I am OBSESSED with zoids. I know all the things about the liger. And with my current skill and limited rescources, that is as good as its going to get.
I am going to remake the mask at some point cause this one is getting old. And when I do remake it I'll have a better understanding of how the material works and what to do and what not to do.
But I think this came out damn good for not knowing what the hell I was honestly doing.

That is cool. I'm working on making a Liger Zero quad suit that I'm going to enter in LouisiANIME and Mechacon in Louisiana (Baton Rouge at the Marriott, and Lafayette at the Hilton Lafayette). I hope that it will look good when I'm done with it. I'm going to try to do it next week over Spring Break while also cleaning up my room(s) to store my cosplay accessories.

It's gonna be awhile till I finish it (4-6 months), but I'll be posting WIP pictures to show how it's turning out. I'm going to start it on Monday since my dad's gone to Houston,TX for the weekend.
