This took me way too long to finish. I like working in open canvas a whole lot, and hopefully I'll improve with my digital painting skills. It's not often I draw flying dragons, so I wanted to put those wings to work. Perhaps I'll look at some cloud tutorials.Related content

This turned out sooooo cool, though! The time was well spent, me thinks. The background does seems a bit too soft compared to the crispness of the lines and colors on the dragon, but it does lend to the effect of really making the dragon pop.
The sense of motion is lovely, twirling. You can really see the lift in the wings, and the set of the body. Very nicely done.

Thanks, I tried to make her look like she was doing some acrobatics in the sky, but I could have probably given her a bit more energetic expression.

The design for the dragon is really nice, although it sort of resembles a horse *shrugs* but it looks really good!! I can't draw wings to save my life so you're just awesome!

Try looking at the clouds when the sun is going down or rising, the are purple and stuff.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I tried to make it seem she was twisting in flight, hence the clouds curving in an arc. Glad you liked it.
