I only take credit for designing the display case as the badges are originally designed by Pokemon and produced by Sanshee (sanshee.com) and Arcadegirl (ebay.com).Kanto:

I wonder if they are cursed badges. And some fake gym badges like Corna or Rikoto. and don't forget Quasar gym badges.

Well we don't know if there are even going to be any gyms in Sun and Moon. All we know is the seven island trials will make up the main story campaign, and the first Alolan League is being built.

Where did you get the display case from? How did you make it?

Found the nearest craft store and got a shallow shadow box frame. I made sure the dimensions of the shadow box can accommodate a row of eight 1-inch width badges (anything >9 in. width should be fine).
The shadow box should come with a foam or cardboard insert. If it does not, you'll need to purchase a foam poster board and cut it to fit the dimensions of the shadow box frame. This backing is what you'll be pinning the badges into.
Before mounting the badges, select a pattern of your choice to cover the foam insert. Any scrapbooking paper or thin cloth will do. I opted for black cloth.
Additionally, I printed out the Pokemon Gym logo onto some cardstock and glued it to the top of the insert.

ProTip: Take a black marker and run it over the edges of your Gym/League symbol. It'll get rid of the white edges and blend better into the backing.

They're not exactly the same but are similar in size. Sanshee had to stop producing them due to copyright infringement.

I mean, if you look at the case, you'll see that Unova has 10. This is because between Black/White and Black2/White2 the gym lineup had changed. Three gyms had shut down, three new ones took its place. One took over as normal type so that badge was conserved, but the other two were completely original.

It's a shadow box frame you can find at any craft store (Hobby Lobby, Michael's, etc.).
I cut out a piece of foam board for the pins to stick through. I also covered the foam board with thin black cloth.

What some of the Kalos badges should be called:
Bug Badge -> Swarm Badge
Voltage Badge -> Power Badge
Fairy Badge -> Fantasy Badge
Psychic Badge -> Mist Badge or Mystic Badge
Iceburg Badge -> Blizzard Badge

The first three generations use the badge colors of the original games. So they're not the most up to date versions, but are still correct regardless.

O... My... Arceus! This is so awesome! I've been thinking of making something like this for a while now (I also own the sanshee badges), and here you've made a perfect example with explanation on how to make it. Great job! One question though: How does the quality of the non-sanshee badges relate to the quality of the badges from Sanshee.com? I googled them and they seem to be thinner/less accurate as the sanshee badges are. Is that the case?

The Kalos badges I had purchased are of Sanshee quality. The thickness, printing, and size proportion match up perfectly with the others. My only concern with them is that the negative space on some of the badges are filled in with white paint rather than cut.
