Description In 1952, RRHAF(Royal Republic of Hainan Air Force) acquire fourteen(14) units of T-33 Shooting star for it's Trainer capability, since the Air Force enter the Jet Age, RRHAF thinks that T-33 are needed to provide pilot with experience and weapons.

the T-33 Shooting Star serve under the 4th Fighter Squadron, they are in second line of defense, behind the F-86F Sabre, in 1972, Hainan receive additional eight(8) to beef up it's quantity of aircraft.

In 1980, two(2) unit's of T-33 Shooting Star are downed by the Northern Vietnamese SAMs, which enraged the government of Hainan, in return, Hainan bomb one(1) Capital Ship of Northern Vietnamese, it result to a larger conflict. RRHAF lose almost six(6) F-86F and and seven(7) T-33, resulting to a decreased number of fighter aircraft ready to fight. that time, United States provided or leased four(4) F-5A from the Philippine Air Forces, and they also provided Six(6) Ex-USAF T-33 Shooting Star.

In 1983, RRHAF have thirteen(13) unit's of T-33 in service at that time. Local Aviation Company, Hainan Aero(Later on became the Hainan Aerospace Subsidiary of KIA), decided to offer upgrade and retrofitting of the aircraft, they upgrade the aircraft to carry bigger loads such as pound dumb bomb, and also fitting some rocket launcher on its hardpoint.

In 1999, the remaining(8) units of T-33 are replaced by the much newer and capable, Bae Hawk 200 Light Attack Aircraft and Pilatus PC-7.
