Some rocks, a palm, a bit of sand and a wonderfull blue sea ... Photo was taken on the seychelles (my sister took it and she wants to know what you think about it)

its magnificent, its a great view, excellent composition and the colors transport your mind to a zen place.

lol, hard to believe i took 2 years in high school and a college semester (which equates a high school year).
i feel so stupid, but it was my decision to do poorly. (if i had german friends at the time, chances are, i may have applied myself)
many students (in america) don't realize how important their high school education years actually are.

well.. i think german is not that easy to learn - specially for the english-speaking people ... Often it is the fault by their education system..

chinese: huge alphabets and a number of various dialects. one of the problems in the current book i'm reading (chasing hepburn) is the townsfolks level of litteracy.
the taiping army wants the character 'shun' (obedient) painted on doors (with the promise that they won't destroy those displaying it). shun is evidently a complicated 11 stroke character only the educated/middle-class(and up) know. many of those capable of writing 'shun' have fled (being primary targets of the taiping).
