Description
This is a fun idea for a Fighters Pass Vol.3 consisting of realistic choices that would bring the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Roster to exactly 100 different characters (93 Fighters and 7 Echo Fighters). This Pass consists of requested, promotional and iconic characters.First; Monster Hunter has content since the Base Game with the Rathalos Boss Battle/Spirit and the Monster Hunter themed map in WoL, the return of the “Monster Hunter” Mii Costumes alongside Pyra/Mythra DLC and the “Monster Hunter Rise” Spirit Event, but we haven’t gotten anything from “Monster Hunter World” the best sell Monster Hunter game to date.
Second; Pokémon Legends: Arceus is coming out in January of 2022 so why not add the Legends Trainer from that game using a rotation between Cyndaquil, Dewott and Decidueye, this would also fit with the missed chance idea since Decidueye was put aside in favour of adding Incineroar as the Base Game Pokémon rep.
Third; Nahobino would be yet another promotional pick for Shin Megami Tensei V, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they added him at some point since they seem have high hopes for the game being a success.
Fourth; Master Chief would be the 3rd Microsoft character added as well as being the Western Audience appeal, while Halo’s popularity in minuscule compared to over here in the West it still can’t be denied that he is the face of Xbox as Mario is to Nintendo or Kratos to PlayStation so his inclusion shouldn’t be argued if he did eventually receive an invitation.
Fifth; Again the lack of a unique Zelda character not being added in over 20 years now (Toon Link doesn’t count) still baffles me to this day, so adding Paya/Impa being a popular request as well as being promotional for the eventual Breath Of The Wild Sequel would allow Nintendo to please the fans and promote one of their games.
Finally; Finally the Tales Of Series fighter at this point would most likely be Alphen from “Tales Of Arise” to coincide with it’s release, since Lloyd Irving already got a Mii Costume and yes Yuri Lowell is still possible, but the game could get a Switch release at a later date so it could very well be a possibility that Alphen would be chosen as the series rep.
