Another of my favorite Mythos stories. Robert Blake -an actual person- should have left sleeping "dogs" lie. Fortunantly, this abominion needs total darkness. Even a candle at the other end of the block is TOO much.
I liked the scene where vigil keepers saw something squeeze its way out of the steeple window, whose louver boarding it had just sent crashing into the churchyard and somebody out in that storm, saw someTHING during a crash of lightning, flying through the air ! Then police break into Blake's rooms because he was sitting at his desk staring out the window with an -ugh!- look on his face, all day !

You've got this sci-fi thing down pat! Really enjoy these pieces though I wonder what my dreams will be like tonight? This is my favorite, but then I am somewhat partial to octopi.
