This is the original Phantom Of The Opera mask worn by Lon Chaney sr. I think this was on display at a convention. The piece of cloth under the nose is not the real one, the real one is threadbared.Ps. Sorry for my bad English.

That is not the mask that Chaney wore in the original film.
In the 1925 film, Chaney wore three, almost identical masks. One with eyeholes, only in the pupils, and another one with complete eyeholes, for added expression in key scenes, and finally one made of soft cloth, used only for the unmasking, so the removal of the mask wouldn't damage Chaney's makeup.
And the mask looked quite diffrent from the mask presented in this photo.
The proportions are off, and it lacks the characteristic eyebrows from the masks worn by Chaney.
Did somone actually claim that this mask was the original? Because sadly, it is not.
If the original mask was still in existence, it would be better known, and not surprisingly, worth a fortune.

Thanks for this information. I did notice that in the climax of the film the cloth below the mask was completely different. And when he's playing the organ and looking at Christine it did look like his eyes were actually looking at her.

As much as I respect the original film, I dont care for the mask, because it looked like the upper half of a fat guy's face when I first saw it. Though the fact that the eye holes are almost like real eyes is creepy.
