Geogoly gone mad, somewhere in southern Bolivia, just over four kilometres above sea level, where the air's so thin a cigarette lasts twenty minutes and your head pounds so hard you can't walk straight and your eyes start to water... but damn its beautiful up there.Related content

Wow, that is sooo awesome!!
I've been up there on the high planes of south bolivia too.
I think its around 13,000 ft.
I'm not sure if this is coral but once in a while you can find big
chunks of coral just laying out randomly in the plane. How it got
there I guess no one will know but it must've been a ocean at one
point. It takes a long time for coral to build up.

You photography really captures the essence of something so natural and beautiful that you almost wonder if this picture was touched up. But that is the course of mother nature. How you ever found such an area or place, that is just amazing. Not many people go out of their way to find the uniqueness that is in this world. Rather just find it within a block radius. Very cool!

thank you. yeah, it was a sort of tour, and it stopped so we could all take picutres. it was the sort of tour that drove across the bolivian high plains in an old four by four... damn good time.

thanks. it's in southern Bolivia, at about 4000 metres above sea level (hence the long lasting smokes). it was really quite odd, because it looks like it should fall over, but i'm pretty sure its been there a long time.

Thanks, the subject does all the work though. I just pointed the camera at it. And yes, Bolivia is a wicked place to travel. The people are friendly and it's everything is really cheap (cheap like inexpensive).
