* This 300 crossover was posted at CAPSLOCK_ZUTARA on Livejournal, in Aug.08.
It was Capstara week and prompt #3 was "tonight we dine in hell!" Right around the that time we were about 300 members ... now we are just short of 1000! So ... if you think you got the BALLS ... join us.

** Yeah her hand is screwy. This was quickly drawn and posted and I have since lost the original file in my great computer disaster of last year. So you'll just have to enjoy it in it's imperfect glory!

So far when I've drawn anyone bound it's been Katara.
But that will all change soon.

yeah. I don't hate Mai either. I've drawn her many times.
There are varying degrees of dislike for just about everything there.
There are times when I don't exactly agree with the person posting.
But I appreciate that it's a safe haven for people to express themselves (however provocatively)
without fear of an endless wankstorm coming down on them.
No canon this, Bryke's will that.
In CAPSLOCK_ZUTARA, Zutara is king.
And we like it that way.

Although, this is more based on Frank Miller's Spartans than real Spartans,
Zuko and Katara look hot in the costumes from the movie.

WAH? Nooooooooo.
Please don't believe that.
The movie was a close recall of Frank Miller's Comic. Other than a few factual details, the movie is complete fantasy. The ancient Persians were people, not monsters.
I did love that movie though, it had beautiful cinematography, costumes and was a spectacle of manly muscles. But you should research further if you want a more realistic interpretation of what happened in Thermopylae.

ok i agree that persians werent monsters and all that but seriously, leonidus did take only 300 soldiers cause of the carne festival, and back in ancient sparta that was a time of celebration not to celebrate it was seen as an offence to the gods and no one wanted that since they were all so supersticious....there was an oracle, granted it was the delphic oracle who thought against he idea of the spartans fighting... not just the battle but most of the culture that was portrayed was quite accurate, children WERE inspected at birth by the ephors and disposed of if they were anything but perfect and healthy, at age 7 young boys were put into the agoge and didnt finnish untill around 30....having to go though trials where the were put into the wild to survive for a long time period.
i could go on for alot longer but im tired and cant be bothered to argue furthen....so im sorry but you too should do your research..no offence..

Well, in your original comment you said it was a close recall of the battle, not the culture. Yes, Frank Miller based his graphic novel on actual historical facts about ancient Spartan culture. But the battle was grossly exaggerated for dramatic effect. He was, after all, doing a comic book, I can assure you the ancient Persians did not have mutated humans fighting with them.
As far as doing my research, I do when it's called for. This picture is more about the parallel drawn between the 300 Spartans and the 300 Zutarans. [THIS IS ZUTARA!!!!] And an excuse to draw my 2 favorite characters in sexy Spartan costumes.

fair enough, maybe i should have phrased my comment better, and for that i appologise....but i was thinking more of the culture when i actualy said it...its realy facinating, you should look up their marriage customs there so bizare but would be an awsome plot line to a story i reckon...

and at the very top left hand corner it says:

Headline, tags, which icon you want to use ..etc.
You can do it with html, or if your like me you wing it.

If you're entering a fanfic, you can either paste the copy right into the post

It's porn-ish. The only ones I would submit there. I did here for a bit, but got suspended for the one. So... I went to fanfic, but got bored with that.
