Whew! I've been working on this for a while now. I actually really like it! So I hope you enjoy it too. I was determined not to do "dark" art with this one and explore a different avenue. I just couldn't NOT use this stock model when I found her. Enjoy!Credits:

Wow! Thank you so much! This one, I completely lucked out with, because the stock was easy to work with. To start, I took the image of the girl, duplicated the layer, destarted the copied layer, then filter/gaussian blur at 8.0, then filter/distort/diffuse glow with the default settings but the grain taken down to zero. I then set the blend on soft light. After that, I erased the image from its background. I didn't bother meticulously erasing stray hairs because I used hair brushes. When I had that done, I took the smudge tool to it. The dress was smudged with 5-7% strength. I smudged her skin a little stronger. The point is to take out any grain without completely distorting the wrinkles and things like that. I got lucky with the background since it already had that painted effect. I used the hair brushes to creat the hair, erasing parts of the brushes that didn't fit. The smudge tool is your friend. Learn that lesson well. LOL Other than that, I really don't know how this turned out so well. Everything just fell into place.
Hey, you can always pick my brain. I'm not the most knowledgable Photoshopper out there, but hopefully I can give you a few tips.
