Well, here's a character reference sheet for the last (but by no means least) of my three OCs, Lily Takahashi. She was one of those child prodigies who earned a Ph.D by age thirteen before life decided to throw her a massive curveball; she's still incredibly smart by conventional metrics, but she has a lot of trauma under the hood and she's not very good at controlling her emotions.

Like with Jess and Amber, I have a list of more fun facts about her.

1.    She used to cut class during her years in Japan so she could observe car mechanics at work across the street, and even briefly worked there as an intern one summer.
2.    She's fully fluent in Japanese, but prefers not to use it too often because of her past. When she does speak the language, it's with a subtle but distinct American accent.
3.    She still keeps in contact with her American mother from time to time, but she's more focused on her work.
4.    Out of the various fields of biochemistry, she is most interested in genetics and amino acids.
5.    Teaching classes is easily her least favorite part of being a professor, and she really wishes she could just stick to research instead.
6.    She completely eschews social media and so tends to be out of touch with the more recent trends.
7.    Her meager collection of manga is a closely guarded secret; privately, Fruits Basket is her current favorite.
