Great shot, where is it taken and who is the driver? I think I recognnize him but I can't remember the name.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DrNoPlan In reply to haren89 [2007-08-13 10:51:56 +0000 UTC]

@haren
I don't know the drivers name. The capture is taken at a coach race during a riding tournament, here in my town. I was standing in the river for much more amazing pics. Me and a friend where the only photographers who made captures like this.

@all
thank you very, very much for comments and faves. I'm really surprised about that feed back.

Special thanks to Ghouldaddy for DD.

The channel mixer is a good tool. But I take him often as adjustment layer. Here too i forgot.

DrNoPlan In reply to rhapsouldize [2007-07-20 12:57:53 +0000 UTC]

Thanks

I tell you my Workflow in Adobe Photoshop.

Step one: Developing of the RAW
Step two: Adjusting Levels and Contrast
Step three: Changing to LAB color and adjusting in lightness channel the levels again. Then delete channel a + b, change to mode grayscale first, then RGB again.
Step four: Duplikate the background layer twice, the first layer -> gaussian blur 4% -> layer on hard light -> ca. 30% opacity. The second layer -> filter > other > high pass max. 10% > layer on hard light with max. 25% opacity.

With step four you can play a little bit.

wow. that's a lot of steps. thanks for sharing! i usually just use channel mixer and then adjust curves. i suck at layers... not sure quite how to use them yet. i'm a photoshop newbie.
