Description Introducing Silaar Dilaen.

Well, it's been a while since I've submitted any character sketches... or characters, in general....

I am currently working on this quiz that allows you to create a creature that somewhat matches your personality by defining it's attributes for you. This is what I got.

An anthro lizard/dragon-like creature. He is one of an amphibious race, but which fares just as well on land as underwater.

any sort of different creature is spooky. Like 'if I meet that thing then I'll be scared". I can't explain it. I didnt think spooky needed a definition. XD

This is the same character from what I read yesterday isn't it? Very cool. I agree with Formor. You have excellent inking skills. The only thing I'm noticing is the feet and bracers seem a bit distorted and fat. I love the staff too.... great work.

Yeah, the bracers seem large. But that's because I was drawing 'em at a funny angle (haven't tested 'em out fully). Thank you. I'm glad you like the piece!

Thank you very much. This was an India Ink pen. Not a dip pen, but brush and fine tipped. I don't do a lot of pencil modifying, as it tends to look too rough and faked. I'm glad you like it!

^__^ It looks wonderful. Personally I'm with you on the brush or brush pen, depending. It looks well though. When you do pencil modifying ya gotta make sure you have no extra lines you don't want and it's too hard. Anyway, Thanks. ^^ Can't wait till your next peice.

Well, thank you. Brush pen certainly works well... pencil just takes forever to edit for me to make it look pen-ish, so I try to avoid it.

Thank you. I guess that's what I get for practicing solely inking all the time. You should see my lecture notebooks. FULL of doodles with those rollerball pens. Y'know, the ones with really runny black ink (not ballpoint). Certainly helps with practicing. When you can control something that's difficult to control like that... (I consider myself to have semi-decent control) then it gets easier, methinks. So you really truly like my inking style?
