Description Wooo! This is a collaboration piece between myself and an Illustrator of the Future pal of mine, Ozzie Rodriguez. He's an art director in New Jersey, and his pen and ink ROCKS. I've kept in good touch with my Illustrators friends through a blog. Ozzie said he'd be interested in a collaboration. Since my Bronze Key stuff, which won me the contest in the first place, was done in pen and ink, I thought it would be cool to see my characters in Ozzie's style of pen.
I did the pencils sometime back in December. I wanted a fairly titanic scene between the Abnepos (godbeasts) of the Old Gods and the New Gods at the end of the world. I think if there were a history book of Lustra, this would be an etching in it. This really turned out great! Thanks, Ozzie!

Very impressive, an awesome choice of medium/style for this scene – it gives that ancient apocalyptic feel better than a more realistic piece would. Quite a job with the lines (gulp) and I love how you created contrasting areas of dark and light, very effective!

The composition of this piece is terrific, as well as the "shading."
I love black and white images, and I have to say, this is a very dynamic piece of artwork.

Very impressive collab.

I love it, I was just thinking the otherday, "hey it would be super cool if someone did something in the style of a steel engraving" ^_^
What did you use to ink it? Thin line pens or digi ink?

I'd assume Ozzie used pen and ink; all I did was the pencils.

I was confused as to which part you did, be it inks or just pencils.
