Another story I can't wait to read! Β I've seen a few Gamma World materials floating about before, but I've never personally played it. Β The concept alone tickled my fancy and the only issue I have is finding people to play it with... and I suppose also having a few of the books would be handy. Β I really look forward to what this adventure will bring for these two!
Also, this picture is equal parts awesome and adorable! Β I wonder if there is a variant of the Summon Swarm spell that can bring forth a small cluster of kittens?

True enough about the spell. Β I doubt any self-respecting GM would reject such a variant either.

Have to agree; this artist is amazing in capturing the characters! Β Now I'm intensely curious about what Garadun and Cera are in that world, mutation-wise; Cera's obviously gonna be the iconic cat-girl, but what about Gar? Β I remember the original edition of Gamma World fondly, and its a damn shame what Hasbro/WotC have done to it in the "modern" version they puked out.

If you ignore the pre-made "adventures" being set up as a series of fights like a tactical boardgame, the new version of Gamma World is actually pretty good. I particularily like the character creation system. If you have all 3 books, you have a ginormous amount of stuff to work with and choose from.
As for their mutations, I don't really want to give away any spoilers. But I will say this: Cera is not a cat-girl, but a long-tailed weasel girl whose mutant powers are not the stereotypical ones.
