(2 of 4) This is another follow up concept design to some sketches that I posted a day or two ago. The first concept designs will be re: stormtrooper helmets for the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII movie (fan art). These concepts will be based on the classic designs, Ralph McQuarrie's incredible concept work, and some fun rumors that are buzzing around the internet. This "Concept I-C" is the second of four trooper helmet concepts, and the remaining two concept designs will be posted in days to follow. A few key drivers for this concept:

This concept is based on a couple of rumors re: troopers in the ST, so may be considered minor spoilers by some. Those rumors are referenced below.

- progression of helmet mouth, respirator unit (lower front of helmet) being bigger and more vertical (Vader-like)
- "slit visor" rumor (like Robo Cop)
- "Darth Vader like" rumor, which is the reason for the more vertical mouth and respirator unit (more triangular like Vader's)
- classic black and white design (removed the red from the initial Concept I)
- there may be multiple Imperial Factions, etc so wanted an identifier on the front of the helm (eg Imperial)
- a design that is part classic OT stormtrooper, part Ralph McQuarrie concept, and part clone commando all while moving the design forward into the ST (Sequel Trilogy)

One of the other concepts will account for the "silver and black" rumor as well. After trooper helmet designs (4x), will move to armor, blasters, and gear with the ultimate goal being to create an evolved stormtrooper design for Episode VII. These concepts are of course simply fan art (even if some of the designs are new), and I have no official affiliation with Lucasfilm or Disney.
