Actually, as long as you don't touch anything that affects MP (or War Assets/Galactic Readiness) there is no problem.
I added 3 full set of armors + unused pieces and I don't have any problem.

And it true:
I use this mod for already 2 weeks now and I never had any warning/ban.
Obviously, there are chances to get a ban if you unlock the locked dlc content (Like N7 armor/weapons).
In other words, don't mess with MP and DLC and you'll be fine.
