It's so sensitive to temperature that if it's not in direct sunlight, it freezes completely solid to protect itself. Thawrax can only thrive in extremely hot and dry conditions that thaw its icy covering and let it move around.
Melt Cover - The Pokémon changes to its Blazing Form in sunny weather, or when hit by a Fire-type move. It reverts to its Frozen Form in any other weather, or when hit by an Ice- or Water-type move.
