Description
after a conversation and an hour later, we made it home. i may have left them in the dark so our masters had no idea what to expect out of us. anyway, we walked in the door. our masters were in the main room when they dragged us on the couchs. "alright, you are going to explain to us where you were. we told you to stay in the house and not to go out until we returned. what was so important you had to disobay us?" Shifu asked.
we all began to speak at once while our masters looked at us in confusion. the moment Mikey said something about Bishop. "Bishop?!?" Splinter took a step back when he said the name. "here?!?" his breathing went rapid.
"calm down, Sweetface." I tried to sooth him by going to him and wrapping my arms around him. "he is gone now. at least, for a while." I left out what I did for our freedom.
"but he knows where we are."
"for now." Shifu told us.
"what?"
"Tiffany fought for my full rights in China. we can move in the Jade Palace. this Bishop can not find us for it is located in the world where only animals are."
"i found it, what makes you think he cant?"
"you have become well aquanted with us. you thought like me. that is how you found it. you used your childish ways and your maturety in balance. and here i was saying you needed work on it."
"if Bishop finds it?"
"impossible."
"but are we really ready to change our lives so dramaticlly?"
"what would change?" Mikey asked.
"well, in this world, it is full of 'anaimals' like Shifu. only they are people. humans are a fairytale there. you would fit in perfectly."
"you mean no more hiding?" Raph asked. "we could just walk the streets and nothing happen? no screaming or getting a purse thrown at you?"
"none of the kind." Shifu assured. "we can be free."
"but not Tiffany." Splinter sounded dismayed. "she would have to hide. the way humans react to us, they would react to her."
"not unless we prove to them how good she is. the fairytale in our world showed them that humans eat the innocent and to be slan with justace and a sword."
"great..." i grumbled.
Shifu looked up at me with a raised brow. "what are you wearing?"
"the remains of my favorite outfit." Splinter threw a blanket on me. it was then we had Leo explain the whole situation. our masters listened with looks of concern and anger. "now, everyone calm down-"
"I will not!" Splinter sounded flustered. "he invaded my home once more, hurt my sons, my mate. i have had enough!"
"please, get ahold of yourself." I begged.
he slowed his breathing. "I am sorry..."
"lets think about this. how would we get there without being spotted? i took a plane when i went. a ship would take forever and trains are just not a good choice."
"then lets take a plane. we can ride with the cargo in crates as Tiffany's cargo." Donnie offered. "when we get to china, she can let us out and Shifu can lead us to the Palace."
"there, we can keep justice in the Vallay of Peace. when i was exiled, criminals have took over."
"its true..." i said as i remembered the incidant in the Palace with the ox. "criminals run free there while we dont do anything here. who knows how many innocent women suffered the way-" i cut myself off. Splinter rapped his arms around me and stayed like that. "we have to do something. we are usless in America now. we could help those with no heroes."
"can we stop at New York first?" Mikey asked.
"whatever for?"
"i left my comic collection there. not to mention my video games."
"where we are going, there is no electronics. they are stuck in ancient chinese times."
"can we stay here?"
"no!" Splinter objected. "he knows... we are no longer safe. but we will stop at New York to pick a few things up. then to China..."
"wait, you said we couldnt go in the lair because of it being unsafe." i reminded him.
"he knows now. we might aswell go and collect a few things in one week... perhaps their baby photos." he smiled. "
"can we just leave those?" Mikey asked.
"I second that. buck teeth on a turtle isnt a good look." Raph agreed.
"does everyone agree then?" Leo asked.
everyone was was saying yes and making plans when a thought struck in my head. they continued their planning until i couldnt take it anymore. "no! i dont want to leave!" I tore away from Splinter's arms. "i want to stay in America. not China. no no no no!!!"
"Tiff, calm down." Raph said.
"no, i dont wanna! do you know what i have to put up with??? i stay here 24 hours a day cleaning and training. i make sure Raph doesnt kill Mikey and Leo does something other then killing himself training. i stay up all night to keep you guys behaved in the day. i have to deal with bullies at school and i- i-"
"thats why we should go. everyone could go out and not want to kill eachotha'. new school means none judgin' people. we dont have ta run anymore. ya sleep during the day so ya could sleep all night in China." Raph tried to reason.
"you- you...you dont understand!!!" i ran into my room. the blanket flew off on the way. i plopped on my couch with my face buried in my pillow. i couldnt help but cry now. it was moments before i heard a knock on the door. "dont you think i should be left alone???" i asked then slamming my face back in the pillow.
"no i do not." Splinter said as he walked through my door. I watched him as he sat next me. he began to rub my back from my neck to my bottom. "that was quite something. are you alright?" i shook my head. "why, Darling?"
"when everyone was making plans it put a few thoughts in my head. China isnt all that great."
"which is why i think we should go."
"i just... that Ox..."
"he is gone."
"the people... they will fear me."
"until we show them who you are."
"my buisness. i want to be a tattoo artist. i cant be one in China!"
"yes you can. you forget, ancient ways of tattooing are thriving their."
"my family..."
"will never leave you."
"I mean my parents, sister, brothers, neises... everyone i grew up with. i would... never see them again."
"your... you never spoke of them except on rare occasions. if i remember corectly, you said you disowned them."
"i did. but i always thought i would be there incase they needed protection. i am honor bound to do so. they were not good to me but i did to protect them. i guess a part of me does care."
"My Dear," i felt his hands rub harder. i didnt mind of course. gentle isnt my thing anyway. "you do not have to leave... you could... stay if you wanted."
"but then i wouldnt see you again."
"think about this. you have done so much for me, a stranger. you healed me, bought me, then loved me. i have brought you so much pain. i can not bare to see in anymore."
"but its not you. you have been healing me. before, my heart was cold. with you, i feel warm and fuzzy inside.you have been making me forget my pains. why would i let you go?"
"then come with us." i felt him dig in harder into my back. "this is your choice. whatever you choose, i will not change my feelings. you are my mate for life. you have time to decide. you will decide at New York to eaither come to China or come back here."
"what do i have here besides a birth family that doesnt even know i am living?"
"i wish you would tell me." i felt his nails begin to dig in. i hissed a little. "i am sorry, is that too hard?"
"not at all."
"alright then... anyways, you do have time to think about it. choose what you're heart says." he was about to leave.
"wait." he stopped. "can you keep doing that one thing?"
"me rubbing your back?"
"yes. i have never had that done before. it was new...yet relaxing."
he chuckled. "of course." he walked back to my bed and began to do the same motions as before. "think about it, Love. we can do everything you would ever wanted yet never done. its up to you."
"Splinter..." I sat up and held his face with a hand. "I love you so much." I kissed him. "your my reason for living." I buried my face in his shoulder. "without you... I'm a shell." I held onto him tightly as though I would fade away. "alright...I'll go..."
"excuse me?" his voice lit up.
"I choose you."
