It's a light painting technique that involves steel wool, rope, lighter/9v battery, and a whisk or metal wire.
Stuff the woolie in the whisk or make a slipknot out of the wire and tighten the woolie in the knot. The rope is attached to the other end of the whisk or wire. This is your woolie set.

Place a rock or quarter on the ground. That is your axis. Light the woolie til it sparks then spin vertically and walk around the axis. Those motions will create the orb.

If you try this technique please post your results and send me a link so I can view it.

Have fun be safe. Wear a hat and a glove so you don't get blisters from the friction of the rope.
