What a sight! The element of nature is definitely here. From the soothing greens and blues to the earthy brown in both scenery and characters. Simply looking at this is relaxing and makes you wish you could live this simply. Another thing that strikes me is the innocence and playfulness of the kid as he just runs up to what seems to be a stranger. His offering of the golden flowers proves the point even more so. He looks unfazed by Murdoch as well. Is he used to seeing creatures such as this, or is it simply child-like naivety? Either way, this is a touching scene with soft feeling in it to me.

Ah! what a cute drawing!

I really like to compare it to the old one as well, as it clearly shows your improvement, allong with changes concerning deign and style. 

This being seaid, I am slightly bothered by the legg pose though, as it is lifted in what would be an uncomfortable position. It works if it is resting on the shoulder of the beast, but if so, there should be shadow and fur indicating so. 

In addition, the lower part of the leg (knee down) seems shorter than the thigh, despite the fact that it is longer if you include the foot.

You do however seem to have mastered this fine on the younger boy, so I guess it is more the pose that distracted you, rather than anatomy.

Aside from this though I have to agree with AgentBlackBlood, the picture really is a neat sight, with the lush colours and cute setting.

I also really like the detail in the water where the green fade to a darker blue. Though it might be a smaller detail it does add to the picture, and helps the river blend into the setting.

The best part is definitely the design of the wolf/dragon guy (sorry im sure it has a name) but the water is great as well. Nice touch with the eye pattern in its tails. To be as critical as possible, i would point to the faces of the two humanoid characters, they arent bad, but i just look at how awsome the (sorry again) wolf/dragon is and the other two dont reach the same awsome level. But dont get me wrong, its an awsome peice as a whole.

Oh wow! I loved the old version of this, but this is like really great too I absolutely love Murdoch's new look, he looks really good ^^ and also the shading is like so great, i just keep staring at it XD Really well done
