I really like this portrait, you really connected with the bird's eye. I never realized before how much a hawk headed parrot resembles a conure, with the white eye-ring.

I search for aquariums and favorite pictures of birds...eheheh. This picture is amazing, you caught the moment perfectly! For critique, I suppose you could have done a little better with lighting and clarity, but that is all! Good job!

Lol! Well you can interpret this photo as the parrot is dying. Not sure but the feathers of pidgeons puff up when they are dying

You have really taken the photo at the right time! You have gotten all the species characteristics featured in it.

Thank you, I really appreciate that . Its at the aquarium actually lol through a cage. I kinda learned that if you have a lens with a low enough f-stop you can completely blur out the cage if your subject is at the right distance. And yeah my face lit up when I saw the picture in my camera, really felt great.

I like it though I would love to see a picture that would bring out more of the bird's color. This one is too dark for my taste.

yes it seems i have a strong attraction to dark pictures. Although i did mess with the color alot on this picture there was still a shadow on the side of the bird. I remember i did most of the editing in Lightroom and looking at it again though, it looks like i brought the blacks out a little more than they originally were. But u make a good point, its a photograph not a Horror Photo Manip as im so accustomed to. Drawing the line between different types of art is something I want to be able to do but Ive realized I am still having trouble with. Ill keep this in mind the next time im editing a picture, thank u
