In theory, with a right programming you could do anything without anyone noticing, but I belive practically there`s many things limiting it. "Knowing your enemy is the quickest path to the victory", but even if one had all the needed information of how some security system worked, they would have to not only understand it, but also actually figure out a way to break through it. I belive when it comes to computing, perfect hacking is as impossible as perfect security. In other words, neither of them are possible.
On the other hand, in order to get caught there has to be a way to get caught, which is also a really complicated thing (I guess?) , leading us to the conslusion that whichside ever knows their job better is sure to win. There`s a reason why 4chan could hack 9Gag, but not Facebook (or they just trolled us all and never meant to do it anyway. I do belive they would be able to do that, thought).
I think hacking is quite interesting. Not that I`m interesting of doing any bad things, but rather just because I`m a nerd and want to understand how computer programs works. For the same reason I also want to know why Vista (which I fortunately don`t have to use) sucks and is there a way to create a perfect operating system (as in, works as it should).

I know a hacker who works for a major financial corporation protecting their servers, and the way it was explained to me was that when it comes to computers, all activity is logged, but it's a matter of taking a route that nobody will check in, or disguising your activity/intrusion as something normal. But if you've got someone with enough time on their hands and coding knowledge to go through the pages and pages of server logs, you'll find everything no problem. (But that can be like asking someone to look for a needle buried in the desert with a comb.)

I don`t know what was I thinking when I said that neither perfect defense nor perfect attacking is possible when it comes to hacking. One has to be true, right? And you`re telling that it`s a perfect attack eh? Well, I could agree with that. Again, your last sentence, the one in brackets, tells how damn complicated this matter can be (`though I belive there`s a simple logical answer for this matter).
Although, I would like to belive it is possible, at least in theory, to create a perfect(ly safe) operating system, a system that could create a clear limits of how much control over the computer each programs can have. But how would that work? Well, I belive it would have to be a simple operating system, too simple for any loophole to be found.
Afterall, the good, if brief, is twice as good! Never it is a good idea to make things more complicatedly than necessery. But in the other hand, that "necessery" is not as simple notion as one could think at first. Too simple operating system would surely lack some needed properties/features that more complicated system would have. People would need a really clear goal, knowing exactly what the computer has to capable of doing, before starting to creating it.
Of course, despite it`s perfectness, it would probably be really unpractical if it wasn`t compatible with already exicsting programs (which would make the whole progress alot more complicated) or that there were people working on it`s very own programs, which in theory should be simplier than creating a program for already exicsting operating systems as this one would be clearly simplier, expect the fact that there are people who are familiar with already existing operating systems, of course. It would also take alot of time for it to become as useful as already existing operating system.
How about a system that can use both Windows and Mac programs and features?

The last time I tried to download something without paying I ended up with a program that is nasty enough to call it malware. Oh and had to buy what I wanted anyway.
