Description Wohoo, my submission for the split contest.
No matter if I win or not, I really had fun drawing this. I really liked the movie and thus HAD to participate in this.

Done with ink and only ink.

Art by me, Yellyy Β

That comment under totally made my day! It's so damn true!
For ProjectComment, for critique, I have to start off with the fact that I absolutely love the reflection! It's so cool how the reflection, despite the mirror being broken, is looking at her. The details added into this are absolutely amazing and even the details on the bear makes it look almost real. I do have a question though: I can't quite make out what is above her at the top of the mirrors, it looks almost like a Phoenix. I can't quite make it out, probably because I'm going blind (seriously, I can't see within 6 feet), so it's probably just me. I love the details and shading on the hair; it's absolutely amazing. The only downside I see on this, unfortunately, is with the left hand that's holding the bear (I always think in perspective of the subject so basically the right hand). Hands are just about the hardest things to draw, but it's a bit small for her body. My next critique is personal preference, but maybe have the right arm (left arm in our perspective) to wrap under the bear? It would give her a more child-like appearance and enhance the emotion of the picture (which there is a ton of it, never can have enough, right)? Even if you don't have the right hand showing, because the tunic is rather big, it would at least bring her pose out a bit. Poses in pictures are very important for the emotional appeal of the piece.
Keep up the good work and good luck in the contest!

Asdfsdf, sorry for the late reply.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment a lot <3
And yes, haha, the comment below is gold.
You're right though, I still suck a lot at hands and her hand IS too small. I have to watch out for that the next time I draw a human, because my hands always end up to small, as I realized just with this comment. xD
Also her holding the bear with both hands would probably be better indeed. I think I had a reason for putting one hand down, but don't ask me what this reason was lol.

Thanks a lot, in any case! <3

No, it's cool. : D
Aw, now I'm curious! Heh heh.
Hands are the hardest things to draw... worse than feet. Why do they exist in artistic measures? D:

I wish I could remember, haha. Then again, I drew it back in April, I think.
That's so true. Why must people have hands? :c
