i don't care how inaccurate thee armor is this is a cool picture. Personally i like the armor in this because i think the late Roman imperial armor is not as cool and in my opinion makes them look dumb, but still FOR THE MIGHT OF ROME!!!

Yeah, Roman Legionaries looked considerably different by this time. Just look up Late Romans Legionaries of the 5th century in Google. Still a great piece of art though.

These are probably one of the very few tribes that haven't got their name used for stereotypes of today.

I'm not sure where you saw any armor on the huns depicted in this perticular illustration. Maybe you should check your eyes, before making such a comment.

Try to draw it yourself in less than 7 hours to make the deadline and we'll see if you can do a better job of it. Maybe you will. We won't know until you try. Thanks anyways for the enlightenment though. Cheers. Β Β

I think he's trying to say, might I add VERY poorly, that the Huns did wear armor. Which is mostly false. Although some Huns did wear SOME armor (in most cases just leather, worn underneath their coats), it was only the rich that wore anything noticeable like light scale/lamellae armor (which is what you typically see them wearing in illustrations) or chain mail. What you drew was pretty accurate for the common warrior, although they would probably only wear coats like that during the winter and they were also typically dyed varying different colors (and it would be worn over their armor, if they have any, so it's no issue that there's no visible armor), but that's just me nitpicking. During summers they would typically wear very little (usually silk or just leather armor) to nothing at all. It wasn't until very late into the Hun empire that they started making a point of wearing some sort of protection, but even then it was still uncommon for anyone to have more than leather.Β
Here's a good source for Hun warfare in general, if you're interested. www.ernak-horde.com/Hun_warfarβ¦
