I don't really like cliches, this was just an experiment. But I think someone with your talents could do a great sculpture with a subject like this one! Have you ever sculpted something "evil"? You could give it a try!

You bet!
I'm the same as you...If you would have done a pentagram in the background then it would have been cliche to me...Nothing wrong with the pentagrams but so many people who do variations of skulls etc. take things too far or take it in that cliche direction.
I like the spires you have coming off of it in addition to the color combination.
I do indeed like to take my work in a "darker" direction sometimes when I have the time.
It's funny because the things that I enjoy sculpting the most are the "evil" looking things...
I don't see them as evil though...they are just fascinating images when done right.
Thanks for giving me permission to sculpt your skull piece...
If I get the time to sculpt it, I'll note you and let you know...
I think it would make a fun pendant size piece but also something that could be bigger to hang on the wall and be lit from behind.
Too many possibilities, too little time...heh heh
