Prize art for: , who won in my Nivvix contest.
For her prize art, she wanted me to draw two of her characters, a little bird man and a little girl. :3
It was a nice change of pace, because usually when I get commissions or have to do requests for people, they have me draw a handsome guy or pretty girl. But here I got to draw a funky bird guy! Awesome.
Missus didn't say too much about the story behind these two. Just that the girl saved the bird from a Carnival. And also there is a connection to the sea and fisherman.
So, here we have the girl about to bust out our little bird friend. AND, I even threw the ocean into the background.

Drawn on printer paper with mechanical pencil. Background + colors done in Photoshop with a mouse.

the background oh my god! so LUSH and full of LIFE! The balance of colours in everything is amazing in a way I can't describe, it's just really attractive to my eyes! 
ffff and that's not even to mention the characters themselves! who just so happen to look TERRIFIC in your style and I do believe you've captured the personalities of quite nicely! 
Mann, I still can't get over how beautiful this is!

An excellent piece of prize art here. Kinda makes me wish that I had entered and won, but that probably wouldn't have happened anyway... heh. Anyway, what really makes this great is the arrangement of objects and the details. I can see a lot of effort was put into every portion of this picture, and I can imagine that grass was a pain in the butt. Though, it all comes together for a really outstanding piece that is a blast to look at.
