I wanted to do something that had that very classic pinup look... stockings and lingerie, but still felt modern. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it, I think it's one of my better pinups. Stockings, however, remain the bane of my existence... I think I'm going to need to break down and look into some second skin stockings.Β#reality_plugin Β

Lovely render!Β I too have issues with stockings, esp. around the knees, but I've found www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/siβ¦Β to be very useful, you can use negative settings to pull them in, and let smoothing/collision keep them from going under the skin. Genesis only though, won't work with V4.

Honestly, the issues with Genesis and auto-fit are why I abandoned the figure early on. The "vacuum packed" look that was so common and you had to keep getting extra things to fight back against it... I just wasn't willing to go down that road. I keep thinking I should look at the G2 figures because it looks like moving back to a separate male and female figures solved some of the worst of it but.... $$$.Β

nice idea, but i see you encounter the same "fitting hoses" problem as i did, i hate poser/daz studio sometimes because of this..lol

Very nice.
The only decent way I've found of dealing with stockings is to do 2 renders, one with the stockings and one without. Use the 2 images as 2 separate layers in Photoshop and then clip away the unwanted bits of the stockinged figure. It's fiddly and probably not what you want to do if you're using Luxrender because of the render times.
