Dear developers, if you ever happen to stumble on this page let me tell you that you have made an awesome show. Thank you.*Ahem* Papapillon (or Hawkdaddy a.k.a. Thomas Astruc) said we'd know more about the identity of Hawk Moth at the end of season one. Either I've come across the thing he meant OR the show staff have made the biggest mistake EVER!

I agree that the darkened profile resembles Agreste and that we have been fed heaps of evidence in favour of identifying HM and GA. I even came to suspect him after watching about 6 or 7 episodes, before I even saw Simon Says and Origins where most of the clues lie.
However, people point out that Hawk Moth's face and especially nose do have some differences. Plus, there is so much evidence suggesting it's Gabriel that I wonder if they're red herrings. For example, both Hawk Moth and Agreste show interest in CN's ring. Since neither HM's nor GA's motives for this have been revealed, it could be for independent reasons. It could be a deliberate ploy not to show HM and GA in the same scene.
In other words, the evidence is tantalizing but none of it is conclusive. Plus there seem to be some contradictions. E.g., HM and GA have different nose etc., but the darkened profile of the man who turns into HM looks like GA! I suspect there's either a big surprise coming up, or there are internal inconsistencies in the series (such as how close HM's lair is to the Eiffel Tower).

Actually I had a look at some of the "evidence" that HM and AG have differences in the nose and face and I think it's misconstrued. I now think that both of them can be comfortably identified visually. I think it's extremely likely that they are the same person, unless, like I said, it's one big red herring and they have something extremely clever up their sleeve.

You were right. Gabriel Agreste is Hawk Moth. I just saw the first episode of season 2 which confirm this and also that Natalie knows that Gabriel is Hawk Moth.

Maybe he can. I mean I really think that his way of teleportation even if the he was an ilussion was the real one. I mean why would the makers of the show show us a fake method of teleportation?
