Description
Here's something from a dream I had a few days ago. There was this giant worm/snake thing that broke through the ground right before I woke up in the morning. I couldn't clearly see its head so I took some liberties with that, but I liked the pose and colors and so I had to draw it! <3

Sometimes I definitely have scary dreams, but I found this one very interesting! :D I don't have a lot of dreams that include creatures.

You know, where I'm from, earthsworm would be one of the few things that we would call a snake. And in old spells that are meant to cleanse one from snake venom, snakes are always called worms in those.

I like the dreamy, dark atmosphere and the snake's design. The dirt feels like it is in motion too, from the force of the snake coming out.

By the looks of this painting it seemed like a very eerie dream ;__; The desaturated colors and foggy bg, along with the design of the snake, gives off really creepy vibes for me. I think that is a very admirable feat because it's not easy to capture feelings in paintings.
I also love how effective you are with your brushstrokes! I really like that you can see some of them left in the painting, without them retracting from a finished look.

Aah, don't worry - I can't remember what happened before I saw this creature xD My creative mind was just very fascinated by that swirly snake/worm body that was bursting out of the ground and I knew that was something that I'd like to draw! ^__^
And thank you! It's always a lot easier if you've a clear image in mind that you want to portray, so I didn't had to experiment a lot to make the image work and that definitely helped with the efficiency of the brushstrokes! ^_^ I'm glad that you like the painterly look! <3
