Wow, this is awesome!
This REALY makes me think of king Galbatorix's black dragon from Christopher Paolini's Heritage cycle of books!!
If you haven't read them, you realy should!
They are all awesome!!
It consists of 4 books, respectively named: Eragon, The Eldest, Brisingr and The Heritage.
You may have heard of the name Eragon before, now that I think of it. I mean, even a movie was made based loosely on the events of that book (that movie is crap), there was also a videogame (that was not good either) and well, the books were best-sellers to begin with, so I think that it's likely that some other fan has told you all of this before, so I'll stop now.
Awesome art, keep on drawing.

Thank you! (:
You're actually the first person that recommended these books to me. And yes, I heard of Eragon before, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen the movie. If so, it must have been a really bad movie because I can't remember watching it.
Anyway, thanks for the book recommendations! c:

no problem!!
I tend to take every chance Β possible to talk about these books, mainly because they are so good and I grew up reading them... 3 times each : P
Anyway, they are worth your timeand I think that you will also like them.
If you've decided that you'll read them, I will not tell you anything about the story, but if you're not sure, I can give you an intoduction so you know what the books are all about
I think that after you finish the final book, you will too think that this dragon looks like the king's dragon, because even though there are no images in the books whatsoever (besides the covers), everyone knows what the dragons look like, up to the details because the author has springled parts of their description all over the books, so it's pretty much imposible to not know what they look like after you've readen them.
Oh, and the movie wasn't that bad, it was just... err... it went back on the book, meaning that it would just take the characters and some locations and random events from the first book, add a whatever plot and call itself a movie that follows the events of the book. Needless to say, that in the entirety of it you got the feeling that it was oversimplified and that it was rushing to the finish line, I think that was because the book is so full, and the movie is just, so loosely based on it, to the point that if the protagonist and the dragon hadn't the same names, it could arguably be a movie set in the overall world that the books take place in. But the book fans can't say that and give it some slack because there are these points where it almost quotes the book, but with the most awkward way!! The protagonist doesn't even fit the description given in the book, the dragons have feathers (FREAKING FEATHERS!!!) when it has been noted at least 10 times in the first book alone that their wings have membranes (!!!), Brom doesn't fit the description given in the books, Arya doesn't fit the description given in the books, the freaking Shade does not fit his description whatsoever, not even the Ulgars fit their realy vibrant description!!
Sorry, it was just.. I expected so much from that movie and it realy just spit on my face.
Anyway, sorry for the rambling, and I hope I haven't detered you from reading the books with it.

It's really hard to draw fire and I think you did really well with showing the waves of it folding under each other... really neat.
