You should try it with less saturated colors: for instance, shoot your portrait when you are look through a northern window: you'll get a great light, no direct sunlight and no harsh shadows. Also, watch out for your background

I agree, and I appreciate it. I did some experimenting and as you can see it didn't come out as realistic as possible. The camera was killing me with its ISO grain so i had to soften everything then it came out bland looking so I boosted the contrast. Ne camera, no ISP problems, I should retry this one.

The light makes the shot. I would avoid difficult lighting at the beginning. Just try what I've told you, you'll be amazed how great and flattering the result looks.
It's no surprise northern light has been used for years by painters
