Description Quite possibly one of my all time personal favs. Sometimes it is worth going around just ONE more bend in a dry creek bed because you have to know whats there. I had already walked a good ways up the creek and decided to just peek around one final corner. Of course this was standing there in all its fall glory. I spent over an hour shooting this one tree. Thank you Leasha for the title.

Full view if you REALLY wanna see it.

Wow, fantastic!!! It almost looks like you could flip this photo upside down and it could be a carpet autumnal leaves in the sky.

I can see why this is one of your all time personal faves, it's beautiful. I love the fire in this tree. The branches look as if they are reaching out to you and the exposed roots are revealing it's inner beauty... my favorite part of this are those leaves at the very top, I feel like I can reach out and grab them... soooo glad you kept going and found this beauty to share with us!

Thank you so much hunny. That means so much to me. It took me awhile to find a composition but I refused to give up. Good things in life are worth being patient and waiting for.

Wow, now THIS is painterly. Frickin' fantastic work, Dennis. SO glad you get caught up for hours at spots like this, so we can see the epic results. I would have to agree that this is one of your best of all time. That curtain of leaves hanging down is just spectacular!

Jon it took me awhile to find a composition I liked. I just waited it out and kept walking around looking. I wanted something that would show the amazing color and the tree roots which are my favorite part. I kept trying to get in to close on the roots so backed off. I was stoked when I saw to use the tree branches as leading lines into the shot. Really means a lot to me you saying that my friend. Thank you so much.

I often find I get my best angle and shot quite quick but it pays to walk around and Columbo out the scene, there`s always more and different perspectives to admire and grab it from
Well done and welcome Pal.

I am usually the same Jon. But I honetly had a camera full of crap from here the first 45 minutes. This is over a 2 hour drive away and I knew those leaves would be gone by next weekend. Just had to stick it out. The composition still could be better here though. I see that now. I shouldnt of cut the limb on the left side off at the top. I think this could be a fun scene with no leaves and snow covering things this winter.

Funny how absorbed you can get with some subjects, isn't it? They speak to you...tell you that there is a better angle, no, THE perfect composition with the next picture It can get kinda crazy

Awesome shot, Mr. Snider

BTW--I'm having a little trouble locating that certain something. I need to find a *real* truckstop to find exactly the right one
