well if you say so, but it falls in the region called rip-off.
In the field of logos, even 20-30% similarities is called rip-off and this one is close to 80% similar, trust me when I say this, I am not in the field for 6years for nothing.
And please don't take my comment negatively. I am just trying to help.

I still do not agree with you, and I asked some of my friends about similarities of mine and smashing magazine logo, and they said that those 2 logos do not face at 80%, and that the idea was just a little similar,but my design and their design = negative. Two different styles. There are very original and less original logos, and 3rd category is, universal logos. Those are,letters in that simple objects like square,triangle,rotating letters,objects,letters in a circle (most common idea). And to proove you this, just take a look at some of your own works like [link] or [link] . I, and I believe you, saw a lot of logos in that category, just a little look at those [link] and [link] . Just some examples,take a better look. Best regards!

No, missunderstood. I said that G or C letter in the circle is universally idea, you can see that wherever you want, and of course other letters in it... Again, yet you can not convince me that it belongs to the halfway rip. :S

If I really look hard I can see the S. What ype of company would this logo be for? I personally would drop the 3d abstract in the blue protion and flatten it out. Keep the perspective/rotation of it, but flatten it so you can read it easier. The font below is an odd choice of font. I think it's a great concept though.

Again,you surprised me with good comments. I love the way you think about concepts and ideas. Primary,the idea was to create something on that abstract,shiny style,so the people can see that I can do that too,modern style,expressive and superb. I wanted to do a logo with letters,but then I done it with only one letter and arranged it in that object you see. Then I thought that split-colors was great to express some ''emotions'' of the logo. And, for that hard-reading, I don't know what to say, cause, when I look at it, I know what it is simboling, you know, it's different feeling of the logo, cause I was looking at it constantly when I was creating it,and now, from the person to person, it's very different...
