It's hard to give an idea of the kind of world that Kya is in without showing all the kinds of situations he'll encounter. This is one of the more intense situations for him.This would have been last weekend's picture but I wanted to make sure it looked right so I delayed it for another week. It was quite difficult to get the magic effects to look the way I wanted. I also had to redraw Kya's sketch a lot because it was difficult to make his expressionΒ look right.

After a point his magic stops working and he has to rely on his own physical abilities until it replenishes.

He has a fixed amount of power (you could call it mana if you want). When he uses his power, it gets drained. It slowly replenishes on its own after time passes.
