felt like giving her some colourscan originally be found in my sketchdump
At first I wanted to go like all out with water, plants, fish, bubbles and such, but I am sadly a big lover of simplicity. and the feeling of watercolours and paper. ehehe.

Oh, I like that you went simple with it. I also love the feel that paper and watercolor gave it especially with the colors you chose as well as the look of the mermaid. Makes it feel like one of those old timey mermaid drawings you'd find on really old maps back in the day that warned of sea monsters and such.

The colours on her torso //WHEEZEs
Amazing as usual! The colour choices you made for the drawing are great, they blend nicely with each other as well as they give her a sea-ish feel. (Am I allowed to even say that? sea-ish? XD) I think it was nice like this, simple and clean~ The texture helps out a lot, though. If you didn't have it, I would've loved to see some more background on this

The scales are nicely painted, they have good lighting, which gives them a sense of depth.
I like that her hair is kinda seaweed-ish.
srsly though, the scales are really good.
