LOL. Yes. There should be an emoticon of this animal's face to use instead of " :l ".
I really like your art, by the way. Your whole gallery's amazing.
(I love your Hellboy sketch.)

the background colour is fine.... perhaps it is not a very natural shade of blue, but it is nice...
I like the tail...
although the smiley does look kind of out.... but outside from : P and XP I'm out of ideas....

Yeah, its just that all the others have a background matching the color scheme of the animals. Plus...I really need an new emote for this one, lol!! Comming back to a couple of days later I have fresh perspective and frankly, Happy Cat is not pleased.

I don't think any other piece of artwork has so inspired the input of such animal scholars before. You truely are a facinating artist to do so with such simple yet complex artwork. Bravo maestro, bravo.

Yes! Proper scalation on early amphibians! Well met
I have to say that I'm glad you have been so astute as to give it a scaly look.
FAR too many paleo-artists, even professionals, give early tetrapods, temnospondyls, and other so called "Amphibians" a slimy, salamander like skin. Which is COMPLETELY WRONG, only lissamphibians have slimy, highly permeable skin.
I invite anyone to read the facts, the text and papers. There's copious evidence of scalation, even the scaly predecessors of gastralia, and heavy scutes, on derived non-lissamphibians. As if the Dissorophids and Peltobatrachus weren't enough. You even have Plaigosaurs, which were perpetual larvae, with bony pustules and scutes as a covering.
So remember, Paleoartists, even enthussaists:
SCALE YOUR METOPOSAURS!!

Man, I know the feeling. When I look at some of the amazingly detailed work out there in the dA sphere, its like "holy crap! I may as well just hang up my tablet and pen right now".
But no! Draw on! and never stop! The only way to improve is practice, practice, practice...and then practice some more.
Boy...I am starting to sound like an After School special XD
