yay! glade I found a lefty stamp. wait the left hand is the devils hand and did they actualy do that to kids? I would smack the teacher back like Childe-of-fyre. my dad's left handed and I dont think he was punished or anything for being a lefty

Apparently so! I've heard of people getting smacked one back then if you were a lefty. My mom and dad are both lefties (I have no siblings).

I'm almost ambidextrous, but I utilize my left hand more so than I do my right when it comes to the majority of things. For example, I pick up, draw, and hold things with my left, as it is less wobbly and more coordinated than my right hand. It is also less stiff.

I read the comments below, were these methods actually used? They're too cruel!
I only know that my grandmother thinks that the left hand is evil and "I should really get used to doing things with my right one".
Just why is there a difference between the two?

I actually had the knuckles on my left hand cracked open to the bone when I was a child, by one "teacher" who decided I was using the Devil's Hand for everything... so I totally get this!

I took the yardstick out of her hands and hit her with it and asked her how she liked being hit with it.
She of course sent me down to the mother superior's office...
In those days they didn't escort you. They sent you, you went, most kids were too scared to do anything but go.
I didn't. I walked out of the building, walked home, showed my hand to m grandfather and told him I refused to go back to that school again.
He raised holy hell over it. And put me into a public school. They still rode me about my being a lefty, but they didn't strike me for it, just lectured me every time I picked up a pen or pencil with my left hand.

My grandma is a lefty!
Though it's sad because in school, she was forced to use her right hand to write.
The teacher said "When you're left handed it means your brain is in backwards.' And he wasn't joking!
If she used her left hand, they used to pull on the sensitive hairs on the back of your head!
But it's all good~
Now adays we have SAFETY IN SCHOOLS!
