THIS DEVIATION IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED, AS OF AUGUST 13th, 2007These are the symbols to the Hidden Villages i am aware of.
Thanks to ~jetflight , who helped find the symbols to the lesser Hidden Villages.
I did horrible on the Moon and Star Village symbols, i know... I realized after looking at several Snow Shinobi that the Snow symbol is too compact XD. Also, i think i made the Sound Village symbol too thick XD
Please remember that this is a pixel-art, so it is basically impossible to make these symbols perfect.
*Note: this is sort of a fan-drawing/pixel art, so i'm shaky on the category.
UPDATE (01/30/07): Added names to the symbols (located above each symbol). Completely redid the Snow and Moon Village symbols, edited the positioning of the Sound Village, and enlarged the whole image.
UPDATE (03/02/07): Whoa, oldest work = my most favorited work... TEH CRAZINESS! I'm adding a mini-chart here because some people confuse village names with their home countries and getting partially accurate village names instead of the most accurate village translations.
Japanese name/English Village name - Home Country
Kumogakure no sato/Cloud Village - Land of Lightning
Moyagakure no sato/Smoke Village - Unknown. Assumed to be in Land of Fire although it seems that the Smoke are made up of three men who fights dirty and pursues women. "Moya-" also means "Haze"Konohagakure no sato/Tree-Leaf Village - Land of Fire
Otogakure no sato/Sound Village - Land of Rice Fields
Kusagakure no sato/Grass Village - Land of GrassSunagakure no sato/Sand Village - Land of WindsKirigakure no sato/Mist Village - Land of WaterTakigakure no sato/Waterfall Village - Land of the WaterfallAmegakure no sato/Rain Village - Land of RainYukigakure no sato/Snow Village - Land of Spring (formerly Land of Snow)Hoshigakure no sato/Star Village - Land of BearsTsukigakure no sato/Moon Village - Land of the Moon. This character goes against the information that Kabuto gathered on his information cards. Currently considered to be a non-existent village until more information is gathered. Iwagakure no sato/Rock Village - Land of Earth??/Hidan's - Unknown. Note that Hidan's forehead protector has three curved marks on it, not straight lines like the Rain Village. This village has been revealed to be the extinct village called the Hidden Spring Village. It does not say that on the deviation because I am no longer updating it.Takumi no sato/Craftsmen Village - Unknown, but they are a group of ninja that seek to resurrect their village's founder.??/Unknown Village - Unknown. Note that several shinobi had these two curve marks on their forehead protectors, playing only a minor role in manga chapter 106.UPDATE (3/17/07): Added a watermark. UPDATE (3/20/07): Added THREE (3) new villages! All whose village locations are unknown. Also I redid the background!
Looking at my source (LeafNinja), I realized I put the diagonal on Craftsmen Village backwards! XDDDDD
UPDATE (5/7/07): Added Japanese names to chart.
UPDATE (8/13/07): I will no longer be updating this deviation... My life is far more busier than before.
UPDATE (12/14/08): Hidan hails from the Hidden Springs Village. Stop trying to correct me on this.

I want a village hidden in the Ocean, were all the shinobi are mermaids and mermen with henge they can potentially still be active on the surface.

is the sand village weak against the either the mist, rain, waterfall or snow village? i'm trying 2 make an oc 4 naruto (which i no basically nothing about xp) thats strong against the sand village since my frend has a sand village oc that in the anime thing is gaaras sister, but at a con she goes 2 (ikki-con in austin texas) a gaara cosplayer "adopted" her and i wanna have a stronger oc then her

These are all genuine villages, including ones from the anime filler. Please read my author's notes.

Hidan's is called Yugakure. they used to be a hidden village but turned into a hotspring village. Naruto and jiriya visit the village at one point.

Getsu and Tsuki seem to be mixxed up as there is no real concrete evidence for the two,but as seen on a map Tsuki was in the land of rivers making it the Hidden River.

oh hey i saw something about the star, and i remember that it was a village seperated from all of the other ones. they had this metor thing with a power that amplified it and they had this really cool butterfly ninjutsu type thing, however they died early. i believe its a few filler ones around 178 that should be the first one.

i dunno if any star ninja was ever seen, but a moon-nin was seen at the first part of the Chuunin Exams. i think he was objecting to something in the manga... dunno whether he appears in the anime...
